Michael Braud used to live in Atlanta before moving to Orlando, so I gave him a call when I found out I’d be in Florida a while. He asked if I’d be interested in shooting some photos in a few cities, and offered to bring me back up to Atlanta afterwards. Sounded good to me, and the next thing I knew he took the reigns and started calling up skaters and companies, got funding, planned out stops, and basically created a sponsored tour out of thin air. I gotta give him respect for his work ethic, because he’s always followed up on his word, and goes the extra mile to get things done. Gary Murphy who was on the 616 trip also stayed to ride along, and get some finishing touches on his video part.

I actually skated on this trip! This is a photo of the
famous snake run at Kona skatepark in Jacksonville
The route went Sarasota > Orlando > Jacksonville > Tallahassee > Valdosta > Macon > Atlanta. We were going to continue up to Chattanooga, but weather set in and the end of the trip was cut short. It was still a fun trip, with more skateparks than street spots, which was a good thing since I didn’t get to skate much last year.
